An Overview of Composite Bonding

An accomplished New Jersey dental practitioner, Dr. Matthew Girardy is experienced in various general dentistry procedures. As a dentist at Simply Beautiful Smiles of Rancocas, New Jersey, Matthew Girardy, DMD helps performs a wide range of cosmetic dentistry procedures.

Cosmetic dentistry consists of various procedures that aim to fix stained, broken, discolored, misaligned, gapped teets to achieve a better smile. Composite bonding is one of the most common cosmetic dentistry procedures. It repairs teeth using a special colored material (resin) that matches the color of the tooth enamel.

For tooth decay, a dentist drills out the tooth decay, adds the composite material on the tooth’s surface and sculpts the tooth into the right shape before finally using high-intensity light for curing. For slightly crooked teeth, composite bonding can boost your appearance as resin is added to some areas in order hide misaligned teeth.

In the case of small gaps between teeth, dentists place resin on the teeth which either closes up the gaps completely or significantly reduces their sizes making them difficult to see in the event total sealing is not possible. Composite bonding is among the least expensive cosmetic dentistry procedures and is pain-free meaning no anesthesia is required. This procedure is a great way to restore lost tooth structure and is applicable to patients of varying ages. However, it can only be used to correct minor anomalies purely for cosmetic purposes.

Interesting Facts About Skyscrapers

Dr. Matthew Girardy is a New Jersey-based dentist with expertise in handling various kinds of dental procedures across multiple medical establishments. He works as a dentist and team practitioner at Simply Beautiful Smiles of Rancocas where he performs routine exams, cleanings, implants and crowns restoration and cosmetic dentistry procedures among others. Outside of his work, Matthew Girardy, DMD has a passion for architecture particularly skyscrapers.

Most cities today have tall buildings or skyscrapers that stand majestically towering above city skylines. The term skyscraper traces its roots back to the 1880s when these magnificent architectural structures were first built in the U.S. Beyond their imposing appearance, the following are interesting facts about skyscrapers:

1. Skyscraper occupants age faster

The people who live on top of tall buildings age faster as a result of gravitational dilation, an extraordinary phenomenon where the further one moves away from earth, the faster time moves for them. This makes individuals who spend their entire lifetime in a skyscraper age a few seconds faster than those living at ground level.

2. Empire State Building is a lightning rod

New York’s Empire state building with more than 100 floors was delibarately designed as a lightning rod. It is also struck by lightning approximately 100 times each year.

3, Petronas Towers is the world’s tallest twin towers

Standing at 452 meters high with 88 stories in Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur, Petronas Towers is the world’s tallest twin towers. Connected by a skybridge, the world’s second highest bridge, the Petronas towers also stand on the world’s deepest foundation at 114 meters deep.

Do Dental X-Rays Pose Health Risks?

In 1996, Dr. Matthew Girardy obtained a DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Matthew Girardy is a former general dentist at Hazlet Family Dental in New Jersey. In that role, he provided both new and established dental treatments to patients, as well as dental assessments and diagnostic procedures – such as taking dental x-rays.

Dental x-rays, sometimes called dental radiographs, are done to help dentists assess a patient’s oral health and also identify problems such as cavities and infections. They can also be used to track the progress of dental treatment. Just like regular dental cleanings, dental x-rays are very common and important tools in dentistry, and a patient may have dental x-rays taken every year.

Dental x-rays involve low-level radiation that is considered safe for both children and adults. In addition, if digital x-rays are used, radiation exposure to the patient is reduced even further. To keep the patient’s vital organs safe from accidental radiation encounters, a lead bib is placed over a patient’s chest, abdomen, and pelvic region. A patient with a thyroid condition will use a thyroid collar in addition to a lead bib, and generally, the procedure is not recommended for patients who are pregnant.

Business Lessons Learned from Visiting Disney World

Based in Spring Lake, New Jersey, Matthew Girardy is an experienced general dentist who currently works at Simply Beautiful Smiles of Rancocas. Outside of his professional endeavors, Matthew Girardy enjoys a range of personal interests, including spending time with his children and visiting Disney World.

Adults and children from across the globe enjoy visiting Disney World to explore its diverse range of exhibits and entertainment. Visiting the world-famous theme park also provides valuable insights into operating a successful business. Here are three key lessons learned from Disney World’s business model:

1. Earn your customers’ trust. Disney World makes it easy for customers to find their way around the park by having transportation and directions readily available. Similarly, businesses should strive to offer their customers the information and advice they need to obtain the products and services they want as easily as possible.

2. Wow your customers. Guests at Disney World are impressed by the park’s many spectacular features, including the appearance of its iconic castle at night and evolving innovations such as expanded exhibits. In every business, it’s critical to consistently impress customers and enhance their experience interacting with your company.

3. Let customers see what happens behind the scenes. Some of Disney World’s guests get a chance to go on a behind-the-scenes tour to learn how the park produces its incredible displays. Showing customers how the company operates allows them to develop a deeper connection with the brand and is a strategy that can help all business owners.

Early and Advanced Symptoms of Gingivitis

Matthew Girardy, DMD, earned a degree in behavioral neuroscience before enrolling in the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. As a general dentist with the Simply Beautiful Smiles clinic in New Jersey, Matthew Girardy, DMD provides corrective and preventative dentistry services, including routine cleanings that reduce the risk of oral diseases like gingivitis.

Gingivitis is the first stage of periodontal disease and is caused by poor oral hygiene and other hormonal or lifestyle factors. Without routine dental care, bacteria build up around the teeth on a film known as plaque. This can harden into tartar, which can only be removed by a dentist.

As the bacteria grows, it irritates the surrounding gum tissue, causing inflammation and tenderness. Other symptoms can include foul-smelling breath, sores, or bleeding while brushing. If treated early, gingivitis is reversible. However, if it progresses into periodontitis, it can result in irreparable tissue damage. There is also some evidence that bacteria from the mouth can spread throughout the body through gaps in the gum line arising from advanced periodontitis.
